WHAT HUSBANDS WISHED THEIR WIVES KNEW
Wives submit yourselves to your husbands as to the Lord. (Eph. 5:)
Wives - ladies - all I ask for this morning is a submissive ear. This morning, we are going to talk about marriage from a man’s perspective. Men are wired together differently than women so please pay careful attention and help us to be the men that God intended us to be.
Ladies you can guess what the number one need of your man is.
1. I wish my wife knew how much I need THE P________________________ RELATIONSHIP (SEX)
1st Your husband wants _________________________
Be creative and have some fun with it - long into your married years. Variety adds to the spice of your marriage
2nd Your husband is concerned with the _______________________ of the sexual relationship
Listen to Paul’s advice to married couples.
The husband should fulfil his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife’s body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband’s body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife. Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not temp you because of your lack of self-control. I say this as a concession, not as a command. (I Cor. 7:3-6)
The Apostle Paul is talking about the physical act between a husband and a wife. He says it plain: Don’t stay away too long, because the devil will come in and temp you...
2. I wish my wife knew how much I need R__________________________ COMPANIONSHIP
Wives should also know that men develop relationships in a different way than women. Women tend to make friends based on shared feelings with another person whereas men do so on the basis of shared activities.
"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up.
3. I wish my wife knew how much I need E_________________________________
Wives, husbands need you to be their cheerleader...their one-woman fan club....they need a relationship with you in which they feel your confidence and trust.
An old Sanskrit poem sums this up well. Although I conquer all the earth, Yet for me there is only one city. In that city there is only one house; And in that house, one room only; And in that room, a bed -- And one woman sleeps there, The shining joy and jewel of all my kingdom.
So, wives....we want you to know -- what you probably already know, thanks to that wonderful intuition that you have....we want you to know us ultimately through the eyes of the one who knit us together in His own image and likeness. We want you to know us in a deep spiritual sense.
